I did a Colour on a woman the other day which was interesting.
She was looking for better coverage of the grey hair that she
had but without doing a full colour. We talked about how she
did her hair and then we decided to do foils but with a dark Colour.
The dark brown had cool undertones with 30 vol peroxide.
I have found by using 30 vol the gray hairs get covered completely.

Sometimes the way you do a Colour is unconventional, but effective.
I used thin slicings and made sure to apply the Colour thick enough to
cover and saturate the hair sectioned out for the Colour. We only did
the top of her hair from the temple to the crown in a herringbone pattern.

This a picture of bricks layed but this gives you
a good idea of what that would look like. She had very few grey
on the sides (the hair in front of the ears) I took small sections
and painted on the colour just on the stands that were grey.

The overall effect was that the grey was covered, Her Natural
colour was lightened slightly ( 1-1 1/2 levels). She was happy with the
overall effect and maintainess is less than a full colour.
